Organised Chaos IV’
50cm x 50cm
Acrylic on Board
Framed
It seems to Lorraine that life itself is random and chaotic, and as humans, we are constantly trying to rationalise and make sense of it by compartmentalisation. In a similar way, the natural world of undulating hills and pastures are systematically cut up into parcels of land, the shapes and forms being informed by rivers and lakes. This work tries to captivate some of the essence of farmland in a lyrical way, depicting ploughed fields and delineated boundaries.
