Zoë Moss

Zoë Moss is a UK based artist with a BA in Fine Art, she has exhibited in shows such as the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Cork Street Gallery and the National open art competition, she has also been shortlisted for many exhibitions including the BP portrait prize and the John Moores Painting prize. Zoë is a published artist and has been featured in publications such as “Who’s Who in Art”- she is currently creating work for private and commercial commissions and is in the process of creating her own children’s book and producing her third solo show. Zoë predominantly paints in a photo-realist style using oil paints, she gets her inspiration from the concept of painting versus photography, seeing how much detail she can capture with paint. Zoë is very careful in the way she creates, spending time on the pieces to allow herself to study her relationship with the subject- she has recently been visiting comic cons and producing new series of work based on superheroes and famous icons, but with a humorous narrative, such as a Storm Trooper with a Tesco bag, or Marylin Monroe with a mobile phone.
