Paul Fuentes is a Mexican artist creating photomontage images with his wife and creative partner, Ilse- the pair are now based in London but travel often for their art. Paul was previously a graphic designer, and now uses his skills to create photomontage images based on his photography. What makes Paul’s work so unique and recognisable is his use of bright colours and the contrast he creates; he takes photos of swimming pools, palm trees and blue skies and adds unexpected elements such as cheetahs or tigers. Paul often uses iconic places in his work, such as the Trevi Fountain in Rome, or the Hollywood Sign- by adding these surreal elements to notable places it adds a new, artistic twist to travel type photography. The couple are always looking for new things to strike inspiration- when they are not working on projects of their own, they are also working for brands such as Dior, Gucci and Penguin.
