Jayson Lilley is a UK based artist specialising in printmaking, Jayson reproduces iconic cityscapes, but from a unique perspective. Jayson’s technique involves screen printing but he goes a step further by combining this with painting, collage, gold and silver leaf embellishment and hand drawing to construct these scenes. Jayson likes to combine the old with the new, he prints onto vintage items, such as old monopoly boards or pound notes- he likes to look at the relationship between nature and urban landscape, you can especially see this in his scenes of London, the city’s personality shines through. “My infatuation comes by the shape that my chosen building or vista makes as it cuts its way into the sky - the negative space draws me in as much as the building itself.” We are very happy to have Jayson’s work here at IIF Gallery.
