David O'Brien

Liverpool born artist David O’Brien, kick started his career after his visit to Barcelona in the 90’s, where he was inspired deeply by Antoni Gaudi’s Park Güell which is where he discovered his adoration for mosaic art. This inspired David to implement his own contemporary spin on the traditional artistic medium of mosaic art. His work centres around his love for a multitude of cultures including music, sports, film, architecture to retro posters and icons. However, the beauty of mosaic art is how every piece will always be original and unique- despite appearances. This makes O’Brien’s art unrepeated, with an incredible attention to detail. His home is covered in mosaic sculptures, and he is always immersing himself in culture, keeping inspired daily and taking pride in his creative process. Starting a family in Lancashire, O’Brien’s work is being exhibited across the country, and held in many galleries and private collections.
