Bob & Eve

Corinna Wilson is the artist behind Bob & Eve. The name is a reference to the word’s bobbin and weave as a reference to her use of textiles as a medium. The bobbin is an integral part of weaving on a loom. She uses a method called hand tufting. This is a newer technique that combines the ancient craft of weaving with a modern-day technology. The artist starts with a clean piece of linen and pulls wool strands through using a tufting tool. Corinna creates amusing phases and floral images using lavish colours. With her husband Steve they brainstorm ideas by bouncing funny slogans off one another. She takes pleasure from referencing him in the name as Eve, instead of Steve! Her colourful works are an expression of her irreverent. take on modern society, and her humour is as bold as her colour and her designs. They pop out at you from every angle, and never fail to put brighten up a room or put a smile on your face. Corinna Wilson reminds us to stop taking life too seriously, and rightly so!
